Job Duties

 

• Weld FCAW 1/16h wire
• Torch cutting, grinding, and burning.
• Working knowledge of everyday shop tools
• Clean up welds when necessary.
• Cut material when needed.
• Operate overhead cranes to move material once licensed.
• Work collaboratively with those on your floor and on surrounding floors to establish teamwork.
• Communicate with your co-workers, especially during shift change, to ensure continuity on the projects.
• Keep safety as the highest priority.

 

Requirements

 

• Must pass the initial Flux Core weld test to be considered for the position.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Steel fabrication company is hiring a remote overhead crane operator with experience in a steel mill or fabrication shop environment.
• Operate crane in a safe manner to assist production and maintenance needs.
• Test equipment includes brakes, hoist limits, sirens, lights, and crane equipment prior to each operation. Observes personnel and equipment in the area of lifted objects to determine a safe movement.
• Sounds siren to warn personnel in path of lifted objects.
• Make lifts when signaled by maintenance or operating personnel on the ground.
• Assist with other duties outside of Crane as needed.

 

Requirements

• Requires ability to perform manual labor and lift in weights in excess of 50 - 100 lbs.
• Requires mental dexterity to perform job in high pressure and time sensitive situations.
• Requires use and dexterity of all limbs to operate multiple controls at once.
• High school diploma or GED

We are seeking a dependable Beam Profiling Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a CNC-style beam profiling machine that is already pre-programmed. The primary responsibility is to ensure proper machine operation and accurate part production based on blueprints.

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate the beam profiling CNC machine according to established procedures.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments if needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints to verify proper cutting and part dimensions.
• Perform routine visual quality checks on completed parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
• Certification to drive forklift truck preferred
• Must be able to work well in a team
• Ability to read, write, and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
• Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekend
