Workshop Facilitator (Instructor) 
Coconut Creek, FL
Salary commensurate with education and experience 
This is an in-office and NOT a remote position.

General Purpose of the Position:
Delivery of workshops, orientation, and all other workshops (excluding Job Club) in the CareerSource Broward (CSBD) Centers.  Responsible for the development of the Center’s training and Orientation content and delivery for customers, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator and Career Source Broward Management. Position requires in-person interactions with customers. Work is performed onsite at a physical location of CSBD.    
 
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Conduct all the workshops in the CSBD Centers (excluding Job Club).
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with case managers, and monitoring reports to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs. 
  • Research new trends in employment and training and share information with staff in order to improve Career Source Broward programs and operational procedures.
  • Ensure training materials prepared, such as outlines, text and handouts are compliant with State guidelines and in conjunction with the Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator and other CSBD management staff. 
  • Assist in developing and organizing training manuals and participate in special training projects as assigned.
  • Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs, or to inform management of training program status.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of State and Federal workforce development performance measures.
  • Participate in agency’s quality improvement initiatives by focusing on continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, clients, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence, emails, and faxes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Supervisory Controls and Guidelines:
  • The incumbent reports directly to the Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator.  
  • The incumbent’s primary duty of performing office or non-manual work is directly related to management or general business operations of CareerSource Broward’s customers/providers.   
  • Incumbent must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.  
  • Work is performed independently within broad general guidelines such as federal, state and local workforce development guidelines and regulations as well as Career Source Broward policies and procedures.

Education, Experience and Knowledge Required:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, social science or a related field plus a minimum, a minimum of three years experience in training and delivering workshops; experience in social services, governmental or related environment is required.
  • Incumbent must be experienced in and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills since the position requires significant report writing and public speaking responsibilities. 
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and possess extensive Word and Excel skills, possess the ability to utilize state workforce development databases and possess the ability to utilize the Internet to conduct research.
