Position Summary
CareerSource Broward is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused SNAP Success Coach I to provide comprehensive case management and career coaching services to participants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This position serves as a guide and advocate for customers, helping them overcome barriers to employment, access supportive services, and achieve self-sufficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong case management experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their career and personal goals. This position requires in-person interaction with customers and is performed onsite at a CareerSource Broward location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned caseload of SNAP participants.
- Provide individualized career coaching, guidance, and support.
- Conduct assessments to identify customer strengths, needs, and barriers to employment.
- Develop and monitor employment and service plans.
- Coordinate supportive services and referrals to community resources.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in workforce development databases.
- Monitor customer progress and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, orientations, and informational sessions as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, employers, and community partners.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Meet performance goals, deadlines, and program outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in case management or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and providing customer-centered services.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Word and Excel skills.
- Experience utilizing workforce development databases and online research tools.
- Knowledge of employment, workforce development, human services, or public assistance programs.
