Monday to Friday, three shifts available
1st (7 am to 3:15 pm) – 2nd (3:00 pm to 11:15 pm) – 3rd (11:00 pm to 7:15 am)

Description
The primary purpose of this position is to operate a computer numerical control (CNC) milling machine that employs computerized controls and rotating multi-point cutting tools to progressively remove material from the workpiece as it is fed into the milling tool to produce a custom-designed part or product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program tooling utilizing CAM software.
- Operate the computer panel of the CNC machine to set the machine to obtain product specifications.
- Utilize necessary equipment to verify measurements/quality specifications.
- Accurately document applicable job, product, and quality information utilizing computer and paper documents, as required.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols.
- Read work instructions to obtain production information.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The incumbent must sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak English.
- The position requires frequent physical exertion. Incumbent will frequently be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, and larger amounts with assistance. The incumbent may need to operate a crane and a forklift.
- The work location includes a warehouse and fabrication shop setting, which will expose the Incumbent to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
- Work is performed inside the plant, but incumbents are exposed to seasonal and welding temperatures.
- Incumbents must wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, ear protection and steel-toed boots, and any other PPE as required in the production area.
Qualifications / Education
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of CNC machining experience - preferably in a steel service center.
- Knowledge of fixtures.
- Must be familiar with all machines required to perform the tasks stated above.
- General knowledge of G- and M-Codes.
- Employment is contingent on a criminal background check and drug test.
