Maintenance Technician

$22.00 to $30.00 dependent on experience
Monday to Friday – 6 am to 4:30 pm
10-hour days – 10 hours OT every week

Duties
- Basic knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems.
- Disassemble, reassemble, and evaluate equipment operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Perform bench operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, welding, fabricating, etc.
- Install various machinery, tanks, pumps, and processing equipment as required.
- Size and determine proper fits of keys, shafts, bearings, etc.
- Thread, install & fit black iron, stainless steel piping, tubing, PVC pipe, valves & fittings.
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts
- Troubleshoot, diagnose equipment failures, and identify root cause for mechanical, systems.
- Read and understand operating & maintenance manuals and work instructions.
- Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
- Perform monthly safety & security reports.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good organizational skills, initiative-taker, and a team player.
- Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn.
- Able to manage the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least fifty pounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable.
- Able to pass initial pre-employment drug screen and random testing thereafter.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Background clearance
Qualifications
- Valid State Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass Drug Screen
- 18 yrs. or older-Dependable & Reliable
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
