General Purpose of the Position:
Coordinates and oversees the human resources processing and activities for all staffing agency (ISG) associates in Region 22 as well as completing other human resources projects for the department.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Under the general direction of the Executive Vice President, Career Source Broward (CSBD), serves as the CSBD liaison on Human Resources matters for the Interactive Staffing Group (ISG) associates.
- Creates reports and checklists to oversee the daily workflow between CSBD and ISG ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the CSBDs mission and talent strategy.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Coordinates and participates in human resource programs including, but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale and training and development.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops, recommends and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics.
- Analyzes statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel issues and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Monitors and ensures the CSBD’s and ISG’s compliance with policies and procedures; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Monitors and reviews performance evaluations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion.
- Coordinates and reviews all employee relations activities including staff development and disciplinary actions.
- Provides guidance and assistance to supervisory staff on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
- Maintains records and compiles and submits statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, FMLA, accommodations and absenteeism rates.
- Identifies staff vacancies and assists with the screening process, the interview and selection of applicants.
- Coordinates activities with CSBD departments.
- Participates in agency’s quality improvement initiatives by continually focusing on strategic planning and improving customer service.
- Communicates with coworkers, management, staff, clients, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Responds promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence, emails, and faxes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or a related field is required. Three years of relevant human resources management experience is required. Master’s degree and PHR certification preferred. A relevant combination of experience and specialized training may be substituted for the PHR certification.
- Incumbent must be experienced in and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills as the position requires report writing. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and possess extensive Word and Excel skills, possess the ability to utilize the Internet to conduct research and obtain data. Individual must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation for travel to various meetings.
- The ability to analyze data, problem solve and understand complex situations; the ability to communicate orally and in writing; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees at all levels and the public is required.
