We're seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects throughout the Pittsburgh area. What You'll Do
- Manage all daily field operations from project kickoff through final completion.
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Coordinate project activities with Project Managers, owners, architects, and engineers.
- Maintain project schedules and proactively identify solutions to keep work on track.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies across all job sites.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations clearly.
- Review drawings, specifications, and field conditions to resolve construction challenges.
- Monitor material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce productivity.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven experience leading commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and job site safety best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
