Position: AmeriCorps Program Coordinator
Shift: Part-time 24 hours per week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm - 3 days a week
Pay Rate: $ 20.00 per hour.
Assignment Start Date: ASAP

Duties – Administrative Support
- Review member timesheets for content, accuracy, and completeness and ensure security of program in the event of an audit. Maintain member files to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps rules and regulations.
- Act as the chair for member committees, overseeing member committee activities, providing guidance and assistance as necessary to ensure timely task completion and adherence to AmeriCorps policy and procedure report to AmeriCorps Program Manager on member committee progress.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies for member training and professional development and service opportunities.
- Assist Program Manager and members with the planning and implementation of member orientation, monthly member training and service projects, annual retreats, AmeriCorps Week, graduation event, and other program events.
- Represent NHC and AmeriCorps initiatives throughout the region including at college fairs, in community meetings, and through local national service networks.
Duties – Recruitment, Onboarding, and Member Services
- Assist in the member application review and recruitment process, including the screening, scoring, interview, and communication phases.
- Assist in DEi efforts related to outreach for host site and member recruitment.
- Maintain applicant database and update as necessary with acceptance and decline information.
- Assist Program Manager with the content, scheduling, and application of Pre-Service Orientation for new members. Collect NHC alumni information and communicate with alumni network regarding engagement opportunities.
- Act as the NHC Pittsburgh liaison for National social media initiatives; Manage, monitor, and develop content for NHC communication initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Graduation from high school or GED, and four years of general office experience; OR an associate degree from a business school, with a major in Business or Secretarial Science and two years of general office experience.
