Accounting Assistant 
Glen Hazel
 Shift:  Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm                                 
Pay Rate:  $ 19.31 / hour.
Assignment Start Date:  MondayApril 17th to July 16th.
Assignment End Date:  Contract – 3-month Assignment
Location: Downtown Pittsburgh                     
Duties – Administrative Support
  • Processes Regional Center invoices for payment by voucher.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all data processed.
  • Identifies expired contracts.
  • Inputs journal entries into the automated resident accounting system for resident fund disbursements.
  • Maintains the Fiscal Department's vendor file system for voucher copies, contracts, insurance certificates, and W-9 forms; completes year-end file purging, boxing, and storage and sets up files for the ensuing year.
  • Performs data entry for other Fiscal Departments, including Purchasing, Accounting, Billing, Payroll, and the Business Offices.
  • Reconciles vendor electronic files of charges for resident services to actual invoices to ensure the accuracy of charges to be recorded to the SOS system.
  • Receives, organizes, and processes documents related to disposals of fixed assets; assists with reconciliation of asset additions as needed.
  • Identifies contracts that have expired.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
  • Organize and maintain records and files.
  • Work in a team environment
  • Relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset people within a long-term care facility.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Associate degree in business, Accounting, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
