1. Education and Experience
a. High School Diploma (Some college or technical school is preferred)
b. Basic computer skills (Ability to use the computer, printer and scanner)
c. Verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills required
d. Detailed oriented
e. Forklift experience
f. Work effectively in a team environment
g. Lifting of over 50 pounds is required
a. Receives orders from Operations Supervisor/Plant Manager
b. Responsible for assisting in blending of petroleum, packaging drums and pails of petroleum based products from bulk containers or transports, preparing product for shipment and/or receiving inbound materials
c. Offload from transports or bulk tanks using pumps and hoses
d. Read and execute blending/packaging/shipping/receiving procedures
e. Pull samples during blending and packaging activity and bring them to the lab for testing
f. Conduct Quality Control laboratory testing and understand results
g. Ability to understand and adjust blends for viscosity and metals (requires understanding of fractions and simple math)
h. Make decisions on laboratory tests in absence of plant supervisor
i. Operate various machines used in blending and packaging of products.
j. Inspect containers for defects (drums and pails)
k. Inspect inbound materials and pull samples for laboratory testing
l. Apply labels to containers according to procedures
m. Complete blending/packaging line checklists
n. Complete Shipping/Receiving checklists
o. Load finished bulk or packaged products onto trucks or into inventory
p. Clean equipment and warehouse.
q. Enter information into computer system, use the printer and scanner
r. Participate in safety and production meetings.
s. Assist in any plant activities like inventory management
t. Load containers/seavans properly
u. Use a fork truck/pallet jack well
v. Understands dunnage and how to create and use it properly
w. Understand shipping and receiving documentation
