BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION: The Customer Service Team is mainly responsible for answering phones, taking orders from customers and order entry. The Customer Service team has a lot of interaction with sales, operations, suppliers and customers. The Customer Service Team is also involved with setting up shipping, making labels and a variety of other customer service related activities.

1) Education and Experience
a) Associates or Bachelor s Degree
b) Computer skills (able to use management software and Microsoft Office software)
c) Some experience in a manufacturing environment
d) Verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills required
e) Detailed oriented
f) Work effectively in a team environment


2) Main Responsibilities
a) Answer phones, handle office duties, provide customer service
b) Take customer orders via phone.
c) Process orders received via email, fax, and phone into Chempax system and print/prepare paperwork for shipping
d) Team Participation
i) May be expected to train and/or learn from other Customer Service Representatives
ii) Attend and participate in CSR team meetings
e) Communicate with other site personnel, sales, operations, etc. Via fax, e-mail or phone
f) Coordinate with customers, suppliers, carriers and other plants to assist in pick-ups and deliveries
g) Create and print labels
h) Run/Create reports using various computer systems and software
i) Various other task as required

3) Computer skills
a) Work with various computer systems (internal and customer/supplier systems)
