Technician major responsibilities:
- Performing vehicle maintenance to Company standards.
- Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
- Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components (Engine Emission Components, Electrical/Electronic Components, Brakes/Suspension/Steering/Exhaust, Cab/Chassis, and Hydraulics).
- Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
- Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluating completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required.
- Moving vehicles safely between job and work area.
Technician requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a full-time mechanic required.
- Prefer experience as a Firefighter or EMT or working on Emergency Vehicles.
- Prefer experience with wiring and installation.
- Prefer experience with body work and/or welding and fabrication.
- Valid driver's license: CDL Class A or B is strongly preferred.
- Class 7 inspection license preferred. Class 1 or Class 3 license required.
- Previous light / medium duty truck repair experience required.
- Must have own tools and transportation.
- Employment subject to background check and drug screen.
- Prefer someone with ASE or equivalent certifications.
