Position - Production Laborer
Location - Verona, Pa
Hours: 4 pm to Midnight / Midnight to 8 am.
Benefits: Union positons, benefits after probationary period.
SUMMARY: The General Production Laborer is responsible for production duties as assigned while following appropriate processes and safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.
Oversee and maintain the food safety and quality of the process and finished product.
Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping in the immediate work area.
Assist fellow employees on an as needed basis.
Inspect, identify and replace product and packaging that is not conforming to standards.
Ability to properly package product in boxes and on pallets.
Must be able to operate a case erector, facility glue pots (reaching excess of 300F), and Line 6 case dumper.
Complete all required line documentation and reports accurately, legibly and thoroughly.
Meet and maintain acceptable line efficiency and production standards.
Identify issues that he/she is not able to rectify and communicate them promptly to the Production Supervisor for assistance.
All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
WORK INSTRUCTIONS TO POSITION SOPs are critical to meet customer specifications and maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Operator s manual available on each line.
WORK SAFETY Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks.
FOOD SAFETY/QUALITY Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority if unable to initiate action.
BACKUP COVERAGE In the absence of this position, a qualified General Production Laborer or any other Production employee based on seniority shall cover the absence.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE HS Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to attend all job related training classes to increase job knowledge and improve job performance. This also encourages confidence and sense of accomplishment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and customer specifications. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts using calculator.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must have reliable transportation. Bus system does not count. Not on Bus Line.
