HR/Safety Coordinator

Allison Park, PA

32+ hours a week

Temp-to-hire

$18-$25/hr (based on experience and skill set)

Summary/Objective:

-In conjunction with the President and Division Managers, the Human Resource Coordinator performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources, benefits administration, recruiting and safety administrative functions

-Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.

Essential Functions:

Administration of Benefits:

-Administers all aspects of benefits plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations including healthcare plans and 401K

-Evaluate and recommend annual benefit plan changes to the President

-Negotiate benefit premiums with carriers

-Processes required documents with insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions

-Tracks enrollment eligibility for all benefits and provides orientation and processing

-Provides required notifications to employees regarding healthcare plans, including enrollment updates and renewals, withholdings, COBRA, etc.

-Reconciles benefits statements/invoices

-Answer employee requests and questions

- Distribute annual compliance notices

-Lead the negotiations with carriers for all renewals

Talent Acquisition and Management:

-Assists with personnel processing from recruitment, interview process, new hire and orientation and on-boarding

-Tracks status of candidates and manage HR processing and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process

-Completes all new hire forms and orientation process

-Prepares and maintain employee files through employee life cycle

-Submits online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks

-Ensures that all new employees are added to various spreadsheets (employee salaries, payroll hours, VSH & utilizations spreadsheets)

-Review & approve contract employee invoices

-Assists or prepares correspondence as requested

-Assists with the preparation and tracking of the performance review process

-Collaborate with supervisors/managers on discipline and termination procedures

-Makes photocopies; mail, scan and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions, as needed

-Review and revise current Employee Handbook

-Ensure the company maintains compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

-Create and maintain job descriptions

-Maintains high standards of confidentiality in all aspects

-Coordinate or deliver as needed HR related employee training.

Health and Safety:

-Maintain safety files and records

-Coordinate random drug and alcohol testing

-Injury/Accident claim reporting to insurance company

-Maintain various OHSA logs

-Maintain ISNet website with updates

-Coordinate employee exams and monitor them

Requirements:

-Bachelors degree preferred consider strong job-related experience

-At least 3 year s experience in supportive HR role

-Strong MS Office Skills

-Experience handling confidential and sensitive information

-Strong customer service skills

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Highly organized and efficient work style

-Strong attention to detail

-Demonstrated discretion and sound judgement

-Safety administrative experienced desired

Work Environment:

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting

-Occasion travel will be needed to visit staff in our Morgantown and Lewisburg, WV offices

Physical Demands:

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds

-The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and  listen
