Location: Verona, Pa
Pay: $15.00 / Hour.
Hours: Full Time 40 Hours. Monday thru Thursday, 5 am to 3pm.
Type: Contract to hire.

1.1. Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or sub-units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
1.2. Use metal finishing machines/techniques (stroke standers, belt sander, disk sander, manual) to produce a variety of surface finishes on metal.
1.3. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
1.4. Tack-weld fitted parts together.
1.5. Layout and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
1.6. Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
1.7. Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications.
1.8. Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
1.9. Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
1.10. Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
1.11. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
1.12. Be able to figure stretch outs and all die and punch uses in order to properly operate Press Brake with CNC back gauge.
1.13. Be able to operate a mechanical or power metal shear with CNC back gauge.
2.1. Complete instructions and projects as assigned by shop superintendent.
2.2. Some travel may be required on a project by project basis.
3.1. Familiarity with MS Office a plus.
4.1.1. Appropriate trade school certification a plus
4.2. Education - High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School.
4.3.1. 4-5 yrs. Experience in a metal fabrication shop.
