Payroll/HR Clerk
Cranberry Township, PA

Position will support the human resources department by preparing and processing payroll. This position contributes to departmental team goals by accurately completing related tasks in a confidential manner. Position will support also support HR manager and immigration counsel as needed to ensure all paperwork including applications for visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with applicable laws and company polices.


Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering timekeeping data into ADP payroll system as per policies and procedures
Ensure payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with policy, state and federal requirement
Record data for each employee, including addresses, weekly earnings, exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, dates of and reasons for terminations and other employment related information
Responsible for Taxation and Fringe benefits for Visa Holders
Conduct Shadow payroll quarterly for Visa Holders
Process garnishments, deductions and PTO accruals
Calculate commissions
Review payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and makes any necessary adjustments
Obtain necessary approvals for overtime and PTO
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Process annual W-2 forms to employees
Reconcile payroll bank statements and reviews the accuracy of payroll deductions to payroll output documents
Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals and file amendments
Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel and payroll activities
Provide employee support for payroll, timekeeping and benefits questions
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll and human resource operations by keeping information confidential
Maintain human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job titles and salary changes
Serves as point of contact with outside immigration counsel and HR manager
Support and process Work Visas and Green Cards
Other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree in business, accounting, HR or equivalent experience
1-2 years of HR or immigration related experience
At least two years of experience in payroll processing and benefit administration
Advanced computer skills; proficient in MS Office including proven ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets in Excel
Ability to accurately type 40-50 wpm
Proven teamwork skills
Knowledge of multi-state payroll, wage withholding orders and garnishments
Ability to gather, analyze and process information effectively
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a team oriented environment, self-starter, energetic
Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment
Must be detail-oriented and thorough
Superior problem solving abilities
Ability to communicate clearly, timely and accurately
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in HR, Industrial relations, Business (or equivalent)
PHR or APA certification
Knowledge of employment laws & HR practices
Experience with international payroll
Experience with non-immigrant VISA processing & permanent residency processes
Experience with ADP Workforce Now platform
5 years of general HR experience with 3 years of immigration compliance experience
