The primary purpose of this position is to manage the Craftsmen and oversee the day-to-day operations of CSS jobs.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Manage the Craftsmen assigned to construction jobs, including but not limited to: Ensure proper staffing levels; Monitor and address employee performance and behavior; Enforce Company policies and procedures among the staff; Make recommendations to Senior Management regarding employment actions including pay changes, discipline, and training; Ensure staff are properly trained and identify and address training deficiencies; Handle employee relations issues and address employee concerns with Human Resources and/or Senior Management in a timely manner.
Coordinate the daily schedule for assigned CSS jobs with the Division Manager.
Serve as the primary point of contact for craftsman working on jobs regarding specifications, timelines, and scheduling.
Conduct job walk-throughs with customers and craftsman. Ensure customer satisfaction and address any areas of concern.
Forecast and procure any necessary materials for jobs. Deliver tools to worksites as needed.
Perform hands-on construction work as needed to complete jobs in a timely manner.
May float between jobs on short notice as needed.
Assist with deliveries and errands as needed.
Provide leadership to Craftsman, including but not limited to: Provide mentoring and direction; Identify and address training and development needs.

Physical demands and work environment:
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, see, hear, and speak for extended periods of time. Incumbent must be able to climb ladders, crouch, and bend.
Will be working near moving equipment and machinery, power tools. Must be able to operate both hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, etc.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able to travel independently to project sites.
Will be exposed to climate conditions when traveling to and visiting project sites. Worksites may include exposure to dust and dirt.
Position may occasionally require overnight travel.
Work Days and Shifts:
Position works primarily Monday through Friday. May require occasional weekend work.
OSHA 30-hour Certification
Successfully pass a DOT Medical Examination
Valid drivers license and personal vehicle with insurance.
Certificate or Associate s degree in skilled trade or technical field preferred.
Minimum three (3) years in construction management.
Previous construction knowledge is a must.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Must periodically pass random drug screening.
