McKees Rocks, PA
$55,000 to $85,000 yearly dependent on experience
M to F – 7 am to 3 pm

JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will manage assigned projects from start-to-finish, including design and documentation of equipment specifications, testing proposed solutions for effectiveness, and presenting proposals to managers and clients. You will analyze customer drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare quote for manufacture of springs or wire forms. Also, you will compile cost estimates of standard and special parts or products as a basis for pricing purposes.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reviews customer inquiry to determine feasibility for manufacturing desired part.
  • Determines cost to manufacture including material, labor, and overhead expense.
  • Determines cost of outside plating, heat treating, testing, etc. to meet customer requirement.
  • May consult with manufacturing supervision to discuss and formulate cost estimate and resolve issues.
  • Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates.
  • Develop engineering calculations, diagrams, and technical reports.
  • Ensure projects are complete on-time and within specified budget.
  • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients.
  • Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels.
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management.
  • Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with project management solutions a plus
  • Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
  • Should have engineering knowledge and be able to interpret engineering layouts and data.
  • Have extensive knowledge of design and manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with project management solutions a plus
  • Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office/ Auto Cad
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
  • Should have engineering knowledge and be able to interpret engineering layouts and data.
  • Have extensive knowledge of design and manufacturing processes and procedures.
